Domestic Violence Month: This is how you curb abusing mates.

Case 1:

During their investigation, detectives learned that Stroud was the boyfriend of the 43 year female. Earlier in the evening, Stroud showed up at the residence intoxicated and assaulted the 48 year old female and the 43 year old female. During the assault, the 48 year old female was able to obtain a semi- automatic handgun which she brandished at Stroud, and told him to quit assaulting the females. Stroud not only refused, but aggressively came at the 48 year old female who was holding the handgun, who then shot Stroud.

Case 2:

PRINCETON, N.C. (WTVD) — The Johnston County District Attorney’s Office has ruled the death of a man in Princeton Sunday morning self defense.

Police initially charged 27-year-old Crystal Turner with second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing 25-year-old Julius Crenshaw in the neck in the 500 block of South Pearl Street around 1:30 a.m. during a domestic dispute.

But Assistant District Attorney Paul Jackson said Crenshaw hit Turner in the face multiple times before throwing a grill of hot coals at her – burning her skin. He then charged at her and that’s when she stabbed him.

Jackson said Crenshaw was convicted of assaulting Turner and breaking into her home in May.

The probability of recidivism for both attackers stands now at zero.

Old and Treacherous…

LUMBERTON – A Lumberton man traded gunfire with three men who forced their way into his home, robbed the family, tried to rape his granddaughter and stole his car Monday, Robeson County authorities said. Two men wearing black clothing, ski masks and gloves forced their way into the home and demanded money, Sealey said.

One of the men, identified as Jamie Faison, 20, was shot and found dead in the stolen Cadillac parked at his home on the 600 block of Singletary Church Road, Sheriff Kenneth Sealey said in a news release.

The two other men turned up at area hospitals with gunshot wounds.

The homeowner, Kenneth Byrd, 67, was shot multiple times, the release said
All three of the men had guns.

The Byrds were pushed to the back of their home and instructed to open a safe.
When the men tried to rape the couple’s granddaughter, [Kenneth] Byrd grabbed a gun and exchanged shots with the assailants, Sealey said.

Obviously not the best of outcomes since Mr. Byrd was injured, but at least the culprits paid a heavy price. It seems that initially they followed the “Just give them what they want” but when what they wanted was too steep in value, further defensive actions were needed.

This is one of the angels:

BRANDON C STEPHENS

Mr. Stephens has a long history of violent crime and as you can see was being sought after by authorities, probably for parole violations.

Another piece of info:

Faison, Stephens and Hawkins are believed to have been involved in other home invasion robberies, Sealey said.

As usual, a minority of criminals will go after the nastiest of crimes. Home Invasions are no joke and although there is a number of them directly related to drugs (attack on stash houses) still many more are just simply regular homes with regular folks inside.

Plan ahead, be ready.

Not fun when the bunny shoots back.

Nel Lalanne, 21, is charged with premeditated attempted murder with a firearm, discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle, shooting into an occupied conveyance and grand theft of a firearm.

Police said Lalanne exchanged gunfire with Kevin Virgile shortly after 10:30 a.m. in the alley behind Northeast 159th Street, between 12th and 13th Avenues…

…Police said Virgile, who was not injured in the shooting, was interviewed and released. Officers said Virgile used his own firearms in the shooting and was carrying a concealed firearm permit.

Great outcome for a local boy. I found Mr. Virgile’s Facebook page and although the last entry is in July, it shows he works 2 jobs and goes to Miami Dade College pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

But Shannon Watts said guns don’t help save lives and stuff.

Sad Holder is Sad but unrepentant.

Outgoing Attorney Gen. Eric Holder on Monday listed the Obama administration’s inability to enact more stringent gun control regulations as among the biggest failures of his tenure, saying the matter “weighs heavily” on his mind.

Notice how he is not sorry for helping Mexican Drug Cartels get guns? Remorse or even a bit of sadness for the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry? Kinda tells you the kind of sick puppy was in charge of the Law and Order in this country.
