Moms Demand Action: “The Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor.”

According to Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action:

“I don’t know why everyone says this issue is over,” Watts said. “It’s not over until we say it’s over.

Seriously, sometimes they make it too easy.

So what is Miami-Dade Schools plan for safer schools?

Among other things….

Adding more School Resource Officers (SRO) to secondary schools to include middle and K-8 centers. By communicating with parents and students, officers can learn of potential issues and be proactive in reducing weapons on campus.

Took them 9 months to figure it out that having somebody with the proper tool might be a good idea. I do like most of the other proposals as they deal with making adults responsible for their lack of safety on keeping guns out of the hands of kids.

It is a good first step. 😉

About that statistic of 90% of Americans Favoring More Gun Control…

Despite the horrific mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, support for more gun control has fallen to its lowest level in over a year. Most Americans don’t think tougher gun control would have prevented this week’s killings anyway.

Just 33% of American Adults believe it’s at least somewhat likely that stricter gun control laws would have prevented the mass shooting in Washington, DC, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. That includes 15% who say it is Very Likely stricter laws would have prevented the tragedy. Fifty-nine percent (59%) think it’s unlikely tougher gun laws would have prevented the shooting, including 26% who say it’s Not At All Likely.

You know, if this year’s Pro-Gun vs Gun Control was a boxing match, the ref would have stopped the fight by now and sent Gun Control home.

Moms are not thinking clearly

I had to scratch my head on this one:

MDA SYGThat kind of reminds me the mothers of career criminals that get shot and/or killed while on the performance of their crimes and the moms are interviews later and say that he was a good boy, didn’t know why he did what he did, “He didn’t deserve to die that way”and assorted other posthumously excuses.

Dear Moms: If you don’t want your “babies” to be shot, tell them not to be pricks, not to engage in crime, not to pick fights (specially in states with CWP) and to respect the law and be good citizens. Just because you might be a failure as a parent, does not mean I am supposed to die at the hands of your “Time Out” Junior.

Because they are cowards at heart.

By now you might have heard of one David Guth, Associate Professor of Journalism at the University of Kansas and his infamous tweet:

guth 1Cam Edwards from NRA New extended a challenge to Ass. Prof. Guth:

guth 2The result? Moonwalking ensues:

guth 3Not unexpected, specially from college professors. They are all tough and macho as long as they are the ones controlling the situation, but do not expect them to even take a thought of taking a risk and defend what they believe in…which leads me to believe they are not so sure themselves.

Proof that our educational system needs to be fixed.

Police say the homeowner saw Deyfon Pipkins, 33, trying to climb into the window and fired his weapon at least once at the intruder…….

…..After police notified relatives of Pipkins’ death, some showed up at the house. They were upset, and questioned the homeowner’s actions.

“He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, said. “He could have let him know that he did have a gun on his property and he would use it in self-defense.”

I am guessing Deyfon Pipkins was not taught at school that Breaking and Entry is not only against the law but potentially dangerous. And apparently the rest of his family went to school at the Unicorn Fart High School and Nail Salon.

I would facepalm myself, but I am developing repetitive injury after all the crap this week.

Hat Tip to Say Uncle

How far are they willing to go.

Interesting exchange I had in Twitter:

nationalizeI used the word “nationalize” on purpose as it is associated directly with communism and Third World dictators. The gentleman not only did not seem to mind but was fine with the notion. I did notice his “selection” to what we know as “Things We Don’t :Like” A.K.A. loophole.

So this guys is having a problem with the Second Amendment and he does not mind throwing the Fourth under the bus if he can do something “good.”

Never forget that people like this also vote. We cannot afford to remains in the sidelines.
