Gardner has decided to play the political/racial card on Mark and Patricia McCloskey and charge them with  felony unlawful use of a weapon.  There are still some legal maneuvers like the “blind” selection of a judge which will depend on whose’ hand will be in the bingo basket.

When it come with politically/based prosecutions, she need to make absolutely sure se will win even though it may get reversed later on or even thrown out altogether. She needs to deliver to the adoring voting masses because otherwise, not only they will forget her at election time but her enemies will have very sharp knives and will use it.

Angela Corey was the prosecutor who pushed the Martin/Zimmerman trial to occur. When legally he had nothing to stand on she created documentation ( charging affidavit) that forced the trial just to appease the politicians that were pushing for it and the Media supporting it. Evidence was suppressed and poepl guaranteeing the purity of the process were fired.

Zimmerman was nor convicted and even though  Angela Corey needed to be investigated and removed, she wasn’t. But come election time, she lost the primary to a young lady running for the  first time. Her target audience for the trial forgot about her, Gun owners did not.

What will be the future of Kim Gardner? Same as with the McCloskeys, it may rest at the hands of a jury.

  1. One can hope that her removal will come in a peaceful fashion.

Removal at the next election is one option. Another would be, arrested and charged with deprivation of rights under color of law, and conspiracy to commit same; official roles and duties suspended until the case is ended and she is either acquitted or sentenced.

As at Joe Huffman’s blog, I would love to see such trials begin.

  2. Joel Rosenberg, the SciFi Author that led the fight to rid Minnesota of the May Issue laws, said “You never want to be the test case”. This was after he had to sue the Minneapolis Police Department after being refused a carry permit even after he had documented death threats from a documented crazy person.

I hope the McCloskeys get the best Criminal Self Defense lawyers and experts on their team. The support from the Missouri AG Office is heartening.
