A popular hunting shotgun could be banned under one of the bills moving through the state Capitol. A pump or semi-automatic shotgun is the gun most hunters in Colorado use. It’s a gun state Sen. Greg Brophy, R-Wray, says could be banned under a bill that’s already passed the House and Gov. John Hickenlooper says he’ll sign.

That should make PETA and the rest of the Animal Rights groups very happy.

As much as I am pained for the crap people in Colorado are going through, this insane push the Antis are doing alongside the idiocy of the Cuomo Law serves as perfect teaching moment for the rest of the Nation and also to finally discredit those who say they “Just want to have a conversation” and “We are not coming for your guns.”

The Chair is against the wall.

  1. I thought the people of Colorado were free willed, self reliant, “mountain men” types. If there are any of those guys left in the state I can’t imagine any of the politicians that voted for that mess would survive the next week much less 2014.

    1. Unfortunately, California has been actively invading the state for several decades now, and the combined weight of their dogmatic voting for the Democrat candidate no matter what and the legitimate Colorado citizens who die every year to reckless Californian drivers…

  2. How about the fact that wack job, nut case, mentally unstable people need regulated so law abiding American citizens can go about exercising their second amendment rights? Put the blame where it belongs. Far too many nuts have fallen from the trees and noone picks them up anymore !!!!

  3. So I’ve thought about this… and I think in the long-run, it may actually be better if the bills pass.

If the politicians learn their lesson and halt the bills, nothing happens, and they win their re-election next year.

If the politicians play like Biden’s good little puppies and rush through a set of laws everyone’s opposed to, we lose Mag-Pull and all the jobs and state revenue they were bringing in, plus almost all the hunting revenue from license sales, plus tourist revenue from hunters and families of hunters, who aren’t just shooting and leaving. All right in the middle of “Sequestration” and a state government who claim to be legislating in favor of the economy.

Disaster like that, maybe we can kick the bums out and replace them with representatives who actually represent the citizens of the state of Colorado.
