From Governor Newsom of California:
Going out to eat with members of your household this weekend? Don't forget to keep your mask on in between bites.
Do your part to keep those around you healthy. #SlowtheSpreadhttps://t.co/snYe5v55Rw pic.twitter.com/Y4fcDO5Zke

Yes, you read that right.
California governor’s office tells diners to wear masks “in between bites”
The California governor’s office put out a tweet on Saturday advising that restaurant-goers keep their masks on while dining. “Going out to eat with members of your household this weekend?” the tweet reads. “Don’t forget to keep your mask on in between bites. Do your part to keep those around you healthy.”
In California, masks are required for anyone going outside their home, as well as workers in customer-facing businesses, offices, factories, and health care professionals, among others, according to the state’s COVID-19 guidance.
What the fuck sort of unscientific bullshit is this?
There is no way to rationalize this nonsensical horseshit. None.
I’m not even sure the logistics of how this is supposed to work for a human being?
This has nothing to do with stopping the virus and everything do to with imposing inane restrictions designed to grind down a human being’s rational mind and emotional health.
The next stage after this is COVID complaint eating mask, otherwise known as feedbags.
Let’s zoom across the country to New York.
BREAKING: Cuomo invokes Torah to defend guidelines targeted at houses of worship: "In Jewish teaching, one of the most precious principles is saving a life — to save a life. The Torah speaks about how certain religious obligations can be excused if you are going to save a life." pic.twitter.com/Fj0LhUNJ0A

This motherfucker actually quoted the Torah to justify his targeted crackdown on the Orthodox Jewish community.
The man actually says “the problem is houses of worship.”
I didn’t realize that the First Amendment was null-and-void when there is an outbreak of a virus that has a 99.9% survivability rate.
The problem is that religion gives people hope and a sense of peace, meaning, and community, and that’s not allowed in this society fracturing, soul-crushing, new normal. We are expected to live isolated on an IV drip of fear porn, not turn to God and each other for compassion and comradery.
The virus will run its course. A vaccine may mitigate that a little bit. But the whole point of “flatten the curve” was to slow the spread of the virus in order to keep the hospitals from being overwhelmed. We did such a good job of that that hospitals had to lay people off. Lockdowns, until there are no new cases, will be lockdowns in perpetuity.
These acts are not about saving lives, they are about tyrants exercising their powers because they can.
Is Fuhrer Cuomo going to enforce the same edict for Mosques? How about for gatherings of
BLMBrownshirts expressing their First Amendment Rights?I don’t see what a vaccine is going to do for a virus that has better than a 99.72% survival rate
Two things. It’s going to be helpful for those who have a much worse survival rate. And it’s going to be a PR nostrum to use against dictators like these, which is why they don’t like the notion of a vaccine appearing anytime soon.
And yet the graphic says minimize the number of times you take your mask off while eating. By my count removing the mask at the beginning of dinner and putting it back on when I am completely finished comes out to the absolute minimum of removing my mask only 1 time. Mask off and on between every bite would be about the maximum number of times. Plus all that fussing with the mask means the dining experience is going to take longer increasing my possible exposure to those around.
Public Health Kabuki Theatre, which stands in contrast to actual public health measures.
Such as hand washing, fer instamce
“This has nothing to do with stopping the virus and everything do to with imposing inane restrictions designed to grind down a human being’s rational mind and emotional health.”
Disagree on that. I believe Gov. Newsom is of the mindset that wearing a mask will actually do something meaningful. That somehow it is a talisman against spreading a virus.
He probably wears a copper bracelet to help with his arthritis (no meaningful clinical evidence that has any effect whatsoever.), carries a crystal to maximize his aura, and actually thinks that a green economy will create jobs.
What’s that quote about the worst tyrant being one with your “best interests” in mind? Ahhh… found it:
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
C.S. Lewis
Yeah, that sums up Newsom, Cuomo, Whitmer, etc…
It appears that flouting Catholic doctrine isn’t enough for Mr. Cuomo–now he’s an authority on Jewish law?
Cuomo hates at least some traditional religions because they compete with the state church that he is a bishop of.
