Last time I visited Europe, I saw this same scenario played almost every morning. But since the Media (owned part and parcel by the Govs) would not mention it and the Interwebs did not exist back then, it was something that did not gather much attention from the public, unless the body of the OD’ed junkie was blocking somebody threshold. I personally watched junkies shoot-up sitting next to me like as nonchalant as if they were sipping an espresso while a young woman was servicing some guy a top of the motorcycle just to pay her next fix.

The morgue vans in some countries had a routine run every 12 hours where they would go to know areas where addicts concentrated (Interestingly not tourist-visited places, wonder why) and collected the bodies of those who finally lost the Heroin Roulette. They would not even bother to do a proper police investigation, probably because it would look bad in their stats.

But nothing was as spectacular as Zurich’s PlatzSpitz (Needle Park). I remember watching a news documentary about it and besides the body count and Dante-like images of addicts sprawled all over were the trees spiked with the over-used needles disposed by the junkies.  It was like watching porcupine limbs coming out of the ground.

Liberals feel jealous and envious of Europeans and want to be like them.  I cordially invite them to move over there and let us be the backward Rednecks we choose to be. Or they can also engage in injecting themselves with the poison of their choice and we will do the Christian duty to properly dispose of their remains.
