As you can imagine, the Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence has been so active propagating crap in Facebook that I really decided to ignore them. But this one was too good to pass up.
If you go to the Bushmaster page, you will see that they offer their products in different configurations as for you to check your local laws (if you happen to live in states that have the “ickies” for the regular AR set up) and select the one that matches the criteria imposed by the state. But since CSGV hates Ugly Black Rifles, following the law is actually evading it in their little twisted minds.
And yes ladies and gentlemen, these are the people who are gonna keep us safe with their rational conversation about guns.

Yep their idea of a ‘rational conversation’ is for us to shut up, turn in all of our guns. Anything less from us is deemed obstructionist at best………………..
Well, the law was passed with the intent of getting rid of a certain category of gun. It didn’t do that, because they were incompetent at writing the law (not that the aim was attainable in the first place). But in their minds, following the letter of the law without conforming to the (stupid) intent is somehow reprehensible.
Josh and Ladd aren’t “driving the speed limit”. They’re evading laws against speeding! They should be ashamed!
Well the truth of the matter is, even in 94 with full-media control of the message, they couldn’t get the votes to simply ban all auto-loading firearms, and handguns…so they had to pick on the then-unpopular AR-15 and AK-pattern guns.
Hell they had to make the military-issue M1 Carbine compliant, because so many people kept and used those.
They’re not going to have much luck at trying this again with TV stations not in their control, and the free discussion on the internet.
Does Bushmaster offer any custom color schemes for their AR15s and M16s? Nothing like a neon pink rifle to assuage the fears of those fixated on Evil Black Rifles.
Just get a pink furniture set and change it out. Stock, grip and forearm. I’d do the Hello Kitty model.

So, ok, we’re setting up these stoopid restrictions, then we’re going to complain when vendors sell stuff that meets them? Yeah, I know, the restrictions are there so the vendors will just roll over and die, not actually step up and supply the oppressed serfs what they want, but geezopeez, how ignorant are these people?
