ARSENAL!

(cue horror movie female scream)
According to the WaPo article, what CSGV says is an arsenal consisted of:

…….purchasing a Romanian-made semiautomatic rifle for $550 in March, the court filing says, Ortega-Hernandez bought 1,200 rounds of 7.62×39 mm ammunition for the weapon.

Or maybe it is all the accessories, you know those shoulder things that go up and down:

Late in the summer, “Ortega-Hernandez purchased a scope kit on the Internet,” prosecutors said. It included “a mount, a scope, a laser sight and a flashlight.”

Dear Ladd or appropriate Intern on Duty: Merriam Webster defines Arsenal as “a collection of weapons.” One rifle does not an arsenal make no matter how many rounds of ammunition you may have. Heck, I have twice as much in a closet right now!

  1. A arsenal is a collection of similar weapons. Like the base armory that is full of mostly M16’s. Ours also had a good supply of 1911A1’s and a handful of shotguns for the guards. A cache would be a assortment of firearms of different types. That’s what I have.;)

  2. expecting wanna be gun grabbing wannabe dictators to present actual FACTS… is like expecting expecting a rabid dog to not bite you.

  3. Is a cache more or less than a stockpile? I keep forgetting. I would like to have an arsenal one day, but until then I’ll settle for a stockpile (or a cache, whichever one is bigger).
