Vertx: “Check out all the pockets in these pants.  There are extra pockets in the yoke just for carrying AR mags.  You can carry all sorts of reloads in the plethora of pockets these pants have.  You will be the most operational of operators in these pants.”

Me: Discovers that an AR mag pockets fit the kid’s juice box perfectly.

  1. I put the ABU pattern AR mag holders I was issued prior to deploying (in desert tan flightsuits…) on the backpack I was using as a diaper bag after my kids were born. Perfect for those pre-mixed formula bottles and juice boxes

  2. My body shape currently makes Santa look like the skinny man… When somebody says “put your mags in your pants pockets” the only thing that comes to mind is “how the hell am I going to keep them up, I don’t want to try walking with my pants around my ankles.”

Load bearing vests and suspenders holding up my pistol belt are about my speed right now.

  3. Reverse:

Needed harness to hunt from a friend’s old tree stand (only hunted from the ground before).

Spouse suggested I use kid’s rock climbing harness.

    Worked out beautifully.

    P. S. I am the only one in the family who does not rock climb. Allergy to powder.
