And not to “recover” (because it was never lost or stolen) but to confiscate such weapon. Trying to cover your sorry political and legal ass by saying, “here! here is some money for your unconstitutionally confiscated weapon. We are legal now.”
And if you believe in what you spout, don’t send cops to do your bidding. Don’t hide behind the Kevlar skirts of good people in Law Enforcement who much rather go after the real violent criminals than people who have never ever committed a crime of violence. Then there are the laws against sale of marijuana. Or against prostitution. Or the Constitutional requirement that members of Congress obey the Constitution. All of these, especially the last one, are generally disobeyed.
Nevermind the criminal charges that will be pressed along w/ the fines and fees associated w/ the SWAT team ‘recovering’ the gun that will be levied on the owner. But I’m sure the ‘purchase’ amount will cover that.
He is perfectly OK with violating the law (the Constitution) to enforce a “Law” he wants to implement by fiat (because he is unlikely to get enough votes in Congress), but God forbid an ordinary American wants to violate an illegal law in order to keep his preferred means of protecting himself. Lets do some math(simple math)- for the sake of argument say theres 100000000 gun owners in the US. 100M. X 2 hours to search average property = 200MILLION HOURS. \ 40 hour work week = 5MILLION weeks which equals 96THOUSAND YEARS. SO can we please stop with the “they gonna go door to door and take our guns” crap. This doesnt take into account how IF they tried it word will spread and the rest of us can prep….
There are 700,000 cops in the USA. If there are 5 cops involved in searching each gun owner’s home, that would mean that every cop in the nation would have to spend an entire year doing nothing but searching houses. Meanwhile, gun owners will be either:
1 shooting said cops, or
2 simply moving the guns to homes that have already been searched, or
3 moving the guns to a place that the cops aren’t searching.
So you want to start a civil war over a law that you cannot possibly enforce?

If you aren’t willing to pick up a gun and fire on peaceable American citizens — your neighbors — and face return fire…
If you aren’t willing to put up your own cash to try and “buy back” Americans’ firearms…
If you aren’t willing to become one of the most hated traitors in American history, for multiple human and civil rights violations, and possibly face charges for treason and sedition for selling out the Constitution and the American people…
And ultimately, if you aren’t willing to become a downrange target for American patriots…
… then you have no right to order someone else to do it for you.
