NFA 34 was passed after Chicago Mob Violence worried people.
GCA 68 was passed after race riots in 1967 worried people.
AWB 94 was passed after LA race riots in 1992 worried people.
Historically, we’re not past the timetable for huge gun control actions because of the 2020 riots. People really want to protect themselves in the moment, but once the moment passes they really want other people to not be able to commit any violence at all. They completely forget that time when they wished they had a gun.

Which under Maine law is not against the law to carry in a place that serves alcohol, however, if you drink excessive alcohol and possess a firearm you can be charged for that. The “gun lobby” is not some manufactured organization. No billionaire decided to create the NRA, GOA, or 2ndA foundation from scratch. These organizations exist because of their members. Which is in stark contrast to most of the gun control groups. One person is at the head, and the members do what that person says.

Camera Hogg can make all the claims he wants to about how the gun lobby is losing, but reality says otherwise. But, it serves the narrative that his “leader” wants him to push.
