To prevent the influx of Californians escaping Newsom’s upcoming crackdown, it’s time to pass legislation based on the Obama Care decision that all non-prohibited citizens are required to own and maintain a centerfire pistol and semiautomatic rifle, and shoot at least 50 rounds through each per year or face a $10,000 tax.

Reminds me of L. Neil Smith’s wonderful graphic novel “Roswell, Texas”. It featured an “alternate world” Republic of Texas that had such a law, including the notion of a “permit not to carry” that you could get if you really wanted, with effort.
