There is an old saying: the best defense is a good offense.
In the doctrine of the US Army, the proper response to an ambush is to attack. Not break contact and run away, but assault in the direction of the ambush.
This EO, particularly in regards to pistol braces is an assault on our civil liberties that turns tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, or even millions of Americans into felonious violators of the NFA overnight.
So this is what you do.
Attack back.
Sue to get the NFA declared Unconstitutional.
If some child-burning, dog-shooting, fuck-stick, shit-weasel alphabet agency bureaucrat can reverse course on a decision and make millions of Americans criminals in as long as it takes to edit a PDF of the CFR then that is way the fuck outside of what our Founding Fathers thought the limits of our government should be.
Here is how you deal with that.
Biden EO: “This piece of plastic on your gun is legal, this one used to be but isn’t anymore because of the NFA.”
GOP: “Fine, then fuck the NFA, we’re gonna kill it and then salt the earth to prevent any more gun control bills from ever taking root ever again by getting the Supreme Court to establish that machine guns and bazookas are Constituntially protected.”
This is the hill do die on.
Every elected Republican at every level should do this.
By the end of it, I want the Supreme Court to say unequivocally that if I want to mount a GAU-19 in the bed of my pickup, the only thing that should stand in my way is the price.
This is how you win.
Now is not the time to be limp-dick squishes.
Fight.
Sincerely,
J.Kb.
Unfortunately its kinda like herding cats….Im all for it and maybe this will wake MORE Americans up..
Remember: by the logic of US v Miller, had Mr. Miller been busted for a machine gun (or a battleship) instead of a sawed-off shotgun, the NFA should have been thrown out right then and there.
“Every elected Republican at every level should do this.”
Except their spines and testicles walked away w/ 45.They’re reverting back to the milquetoast apologists they were for the previous 20 or so years.
Very few Republicans will even voice an opinion.
They and there constituents have been so demonized
by the media, they are not willing to stand up for: Us, the US Constitution
or our Republic. The few that do are worth re electing. the rest are worthy
of Treason charges..
Having been involved in state politics in a previous life, I can tell you that politicians (even the ones you think agree with you) give zero shits what the activists in their own party think. “It’s not like you’re going to start voting Democrat now” the GOP Whip told me after she killed a gun rights bill after the GOP took over the state house for the first time in 130 years.
They’re way more scared about what mean things local media will say about them, which is why you’ll see GOP pols run screaming towards the cameras to denounce members of their own party who have been accused of something. They don’t want local media stories titled “Why is (local GOP Rep) silent on (GOP Rep from 200 miles away)’s bad behavior that has in no way been proven or even substantiated?”
Your hobby is guns.
Their hobby is politics.
They care exactly as much about your hobby as you care about cross-stitch.
And when the NRA couldn’t convince a GOP-led Senate and a GOP President that gun control, even in the low-impact form of a bumpstock ban, was a bad plan, they helped prove that gun owners can be completely ignored now with no political consequences.
It’s not 1994 anymore.
Speaking of 1994, before anyone brings up the “Yeah sure the Dems passed an AWB but then the GOP immediately took both houses of congress! So see, it’s a loser for them!”
And what did the GOP do for gun rights with all this power?
NOTHING.
The didn’t roll back the AWB, which was widely cited as the reason they were able to win. I don’t even think they tried. Hell the next time we had a GOP President, he even said he’d sign a permanent AWB if Congress passed one.
Restrictions on liberty are never, ever rolled back to their pre-restriction level.
It certainly would make sense for people to vote D to get rid of an R who betrays us. And say so out loud.
Apart from that, elections come with primaries. If the R incumbent betrays the Constitution, runs against him in the primary. Attack him for his evil actions.
The GOP will do nothing except beg you for money. Anything they promise will be forgotten once they get that money. If you believe they care anything about stopping gun control, well.. I have a bridge to sell you in Arizona.
Even though the R. party is best in opposition, you know the R.s won’t. Go along to get along.
Sure was nice of Trump to open this door for them, wasn’t it?
Yea right. The GOP aint gonna do shit and if they do, hey your next beer is on me.
For the record, I am standing in the way of you mounting a GAU-19 in the bed of your pick-up, Husband.

Hopefully, the squish crew will get it into their skulls that the Democrats have absolutely no intention of keeping them around as even a token opposition at this point. The Dems don’t need any new McCains or Romneys around as tame media pets at this point.
Maybe they’ll realize that their own phony-baloney jobs are at stake and actually fight?
The most fearsome weapon of war during the War of 1812 was the cannon. The US would have lost without Privateers – private ship owners sailing with PERSONALLY OWNED cannons. Bring on the GAU-19 & BTW, I am ready to take the kids camping in my Stryker.
