Seen this morning at a local gas station.
Most of the gas stations in the area have gas higher, but only by some cents (between 3 to 7 cents depending on the company) and simply cannot recall ever seeing this happening. Maybe I was not paying attention, you guys let me know.
Back in the 70s gas crunch diesel fuel was cheaper. All the hippies started buyin diesel cars and Detroit started building cars with thrown together diesel motors. By the mid 80s gubmint killed off alot of railroads and that ment more trucks so diesel’s price soared… and soared.. best of my sieve like mind..
Well, taxes are the biggest reason diesel is more expensive.
In Oregon, at least in the I-5 corridor, diesel has been more expensive than regular gas for years. Sometime by more than $1/gallon. So, what @curby said.
