Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has said a number of Antisemitic things before, but her most recent comment really took the cake.
We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity.
We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.

This is a sitting US Congresswoman that equated Israel and the United States to Hamas and the Taliban.
The UNRWA Gaza chief admitted that the Israeli strikes by the IDF were precise, targeting terrorists. Even Hamas admitted that most of the casualties in Gaza were Hamas fighters.
But Omar has to push the narrative that the US and Israel are terrorist states too.
A handful of elected Jewish Democrats signed on to a pathetically weak, semi-self debasing statement, asking Omar to “clarify” her statement.

God knows my statement would including the sentence “Congresswoman Omar is clearly an American-hating, Jew-hating, Islamist terrorist supporter, who undoubtedly watches Blackhawk Down and roots for the Skinnies over the Rangers.”
Unfortunately for them, that limp-dick statement was enough to trip the Squad into full-on victimhood, cry-bullying, hysterics.

Any reasonable person would ask: “What the actual fuck is she talking about?”
What “Islamophobic tropes” did that statement contain? Hamas and the Taliban are both recognized terror groups by our own State Department.
And what harassment and silencing is she talking about. She has gotten a pass for every bit of Jew-hatred and Israel-hatred that flows from her mouth.
The last time the Democrats convened because she said something Antisemeitc, they watered down her condemnation to some “all lives matter” bullshit.

Omar’s freedom of speech is violated because a handful of Jewish colleagues asked her to clarify if she really meant that the US, Israel, Hamas, and the Taliban were morally tantamount.
AOC, the star of the Squad went upped the ante by stating that requesting Omar clarify her Anti-American and Antisemitic statement in fact puts Omar in danger.
Pretty sick & tired of the constant vilification, intentional mischaracterization, and public targeting of @IlhanMN coming from our caucus.

The message is loud and clear, a Black Muslim woman can say the most Jew-hating, anti-American things she wants, and to even say to her “hold on a second, that’s not right” is racist, Islamophobic, a violation of her freedom of speech, and a threat to her very life.
Never mind that it’s predominantly Blacks and Muslims beating up Jews in America’s major cities right now.
The newest, and only male, member of the Squad, Jamaal Bowman doubled down on Bush’s statement.
When a woman, person of color or Muslim speaks out against injustice, backlash ensues. When @IlhanMN speaks out, the vitriol is compounded by her being all three.

Just as a reminder, Marjorie Taylor Greene was yanked off her committee assignments for less. So don’t let Pelosi fool you, this statement is the very least she could to do try and save some face for the Democrats.

Holy fucking shit. The Progressive Caucus is publically calling out the Speaker of the House for her statement about Omar’s viciously anti-American and Antisemitic statement.
We are about to find out who has more power in the DNC, the Woke Progressives, or an unpopular octagenarian career politician.
Of course, the Jewish Democrats who signed the original statement asking for clarification are going to be utterly destroyed, thrown under the bus, and called racist, Islamophobic, misogynistic, and anti-immigrant until Progressives protest their offices and their careers are ruined.

She was reelected. By a very, very wide margin.
My Mother lived in that district for years. It includes Minneapolis and the first ring suburbs, including the traditional Jewish suburb of Saint Louis Park Minnesota. Omar carried SLP and had the endorsement of some “Jewish” groups.
I dunno. Pelosi didn’t get to where she is by being stupid. Corrupt and venal, absolutely.
The internecine struggle will most certainly damage the Democrats, though, so the proper response is to encourage it.
