A decade back I was documenting maintenance procedures for a one-off piece of equipment, and several steps had the form: “Remove kitten from [hiding place]”.
Our mom had a small flower business, so she had an old refrigerator with the shelves removed to store her flowers When my younger sister was little, she wanted to know if the light went off when the door was shut.
Fortunately for her, she took our cat inside.
It was the cat’s cries that Mom heard, not her daughter!
