It is not bad enough that it was a hammer and a sickle, universal representation of communism in our planet, but the detail in it cause more outrage.

If you think about it, as heretic as it may be to Catholics, it is a faithful representation of what Communism has done to Christians since it inception. Although within Socialists circles, the take over of churches and cathedrals by Stalin and repurposing them for other uses hs been seen as progressive and useful, we cannot forget that the millions that died in his purges were Christian Orthodox and that made him the biggest murderer of Christians since the Roman Empire.  No idea how many missionaries and converts the Chinese killed under Mao and pretty much the same for other locations in Asia.

So having Jesus nailed to the hammer is an accurate representation of the hate that Socialism has for  Christianity. And the shame for the Pope was to accept that mockery when a not so distant wearer of the papal accoutrements was a survivor of the Socialist regimes of the 20th Century: Karol Józef Wojtyła or as we lovingly remember, Pope John Paul II.

So Evo is out. Hopefully the other Socialist bastard in that photo decided it is time for him to go to som commune in Cuba or Venezuela an live like the people there live.
