I am starting to wonder how many guns are “lost” in shipping every year and if pre chance happen to meet a good amount of guns that end up in the hands of the criminal class in our cities. I am damn sure this is not a one-off case.

Some 25 years ago UPS started requiring guns to be shipped next day air because of this. They couldn’t bother to find the thieves so reduced the time guns were in the system.
ALL. THE. TIME!!!
I know for a fact from people who work for FFLs (both retailers and manufacturers) that they have shipments disappear all the time. The largest I’ve ever heard of was a pallet that was cracked open and all the handguns disappeared.
Back in 2019, two guys stole 65 guns off the loading dock at SHOT Show. They were forklift operators and opened the boxes and took out the guns. They stole some machine guns and suppressors from AAC. Those were radioactive. The ATF/FBI were shitting bricks over that.

Happens in the Houston area all the time. They even rob ATF agents of their gun(s). Big case about 5 or 6 years ago with ATF !
