Nothing much. The 49 bills (my count), good and bad are being slowly sent to their respective committees and subcommittees.
If there is any doubt that Galvano and a few others in the Senate were bought by Bloomberg, Bill 7028 voted as committee bill, should erase any doubt. We need to pounce on the Senate and twice as hard on the House.
Bad News: Galvano and many others will term out this year. That means they are not afraid of not being re-elected and will vote with whomever peddled the best influence.
Good News (Sort of): Between the House and the Senate, they have to go through 3,397 bills before March 13. Basically they have 40 business days to deal with all that stuff. My only wish is that they choke on work and decided to go after the bills that represent future benefits for them.
As of now, I do not see a clear and strong support for Gun Rights like Steube was and I do hope I am very wrong. I also do not see (may have missed them) all those who last year were flogging the NRA and promising on their testicles they could do a much better job than Marion Hammer. Gentlemen, it is time to demonstrate your fervor for the cause. You don’t want to be upstaged by an 81 year old grandmother, do you?
I will spend the weekend working on the committees lists to post by Monday. The emails remain the same, but there has been personnel movement.
Fellow bloggers: send me your links to your Florida Gun Rights posts so I can publish them here. Anybody else has information they want to share, do the same. Miguel AT gunfreezone DOT net.
