Sale, Transfer, or Storage of Firearms (HB 167, SB 428 & SB 294).
Several things: It defines minor as anybody under 18 years of age for gun purposes. Tries to force guns must have lock mechanisms, mandates Gun Store to teach gun safety, All bills have been referred to committees.
Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition Regulation (SB 672 & HB 6033).
It repeals the State pre-emption in regulating firearms’ laws and allows to create an infernal patchwork of local regulations or downright banning. Senate bill already referred but not yet the House bill. (HB 6033 – 02/03/2021 1:42 PM – Referred to Criminal Justice & Public Safety Subcommittee, Judiciary Committee, Criminal Justice & Public Safety Subcommittee. )
There are more bad bills, but so far they lack companions or seem to have very little support, unfortunately that is also the case for the Good gun bills with the exception of Safety of Religious Institutions.
If you are not contacting your legislators, you can complain later when they screw up, but not very loudly. You were the one supposed to inject a bit of spine into them. Do some work, check the bills and contact the members of the House Committees and the Senate Committees.

At least Y’all have a fighting chance to defeat these bills. Here in New Mexico 3/4 of both houses are DemocRATS – of that 3/4, 1/2 of them are newly elected PROGRESSIVE DemocRATS – the 1/4 that are Republicans 1/2 of them are liberal republicans = RINOs – leaving 1/8th of the NM legislature as conservative Republicans. We here in NM are sooooo screwed it is not funny – todays example is – Dems’ bill removing mandatory sentences for child rapists likely to be heard in committee Thursday

And don’t forget the homebuilt gun ban, the ban on 3d-printed parts for guns (yes, even accessories), ban on even possessing unfinished 80% lowers, ban on possessing CAD/CAM models for homebuilt guns (broad enough to cover CNC lathes and mills, not just 3d printers), expansion of red flag laws, et cetera, that have been introduced.
