It is quite an interesting tool, of course only as good as the data it gets.
It is brought to you by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection… that is a mouthful.
And the most interesting and eye opening thing in this map is the “Cases by Zip Code” tab located at the bottom. See how is your neighborhood stacking and if you should wear shorts and sandals or full NBC suit.
I checked my neighborhood and I am not getting out of this house without a flamethrower and an industrial sprayer full of bleach: 230 cases in mine and surrounding Zip Codes.
PS: In Google, ask “how many people in zip code xxxxx” and you will get an number. Plan accordingly.
Well I’m in 34711 which is in Lake county.
With 10 total cases in 34711 or 0.0145% of the people in the zip code and with 95 total cases in Lake or 0.0274% of the people in the county.
I’m thinking it shouldn’t get to bad around here.
How are these numbers being recorded? By where each victim lives? Where their doctor is? Where the test was administered? The hospital?
