According to a tip in the Jalopnik inbox, a number of Black Ford employees came together to raise concern about their employer’s manufacture of police vehicles. (We have since received clarification that the letter was written composed by a group of Black and white Ford employees.) Ford wouldn’t be the first company to come under scrutiny for making equipment for law enforcement, as folks around the country are raising flags about who gets contracts to produce what for use by police.
That was so a few months ago. Now they make cop cars so they are the KKK motor company and it’s time they get canceled.
Ford has a two choices:
Grovel to the BLM mob and cut municipal vehicle sales which will impact their bottom line hard. Not just on vehicles but on parts contracts as well.
Tell the mob to fuck off and get fucked somewhere else, and risk the social media backlash.
Consider the the most profitable vehicles in Ford’s lineup is trucks. We can make certain assumptions about truck owners.
I’ve never seen an “I’m With Her” sticker on any of the many F-250s parked in front of a Cabela’s or Tractor Supply.
So bowing to BLM might have repercussions in truck sales as well.
Since “go woke go broke” has about a 100% success rate, it’s in Ford’s best interests to not cancel police contracts, but it seems that the C-Suite also has absolutely no balls to stand up to the Twitter mob.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Also, every one of those letters seems scripted, using the same rhetoric and jargon like it comes from some central planning committee.
My response would have been shorter:
“If you have a hard time with Ford making cop cars incandescent unburn you of that by making you no longer a member of the Ford family. Get back to work or piss off.”
This will be interesting to watch. They might have told the Kancel-Kulture-Karens to go away for now but doesn’t mean that decision can’t turn on a dime (Chik-Fil-A anyone?).
Seen other companies eventually bend the knee because their CEO’s had their spines surgically replaced with a wet noodle and don’t want to deal with the annoyance of Karens. They have golf games to go to and expensive imported cars to buy, dontchaknow.
Mrs B and I are on a 10-year vehicle replacement cycle, alternating each 5 years.
We’re up for a new pickup in about three years. This time it will probably be a full-sized, since we’re looking at getting into the RV game and would prefer tow-behinds.
I have a notoriously bad memory, but I think we’ll remember what Ford chooses to do.

When I first read this, my first thought was, “Is this Ford? Or is there another company out there called ‘Black Ford’?”
But then I saw that the word “black” is capitalized everywhere it appears, but “white” is all-lower-case everywhere.
It’s almost like they respect “black” as a distinctive race/ethnicity (it’s not), but not “white” (it’s not, either). Because “black”. Or something.

If any of these employees had any real convictions they’d simply quit. But all these SJWs refuse to put up or shut up.
