Most pedophiles in the UK seem to be Muslims. Can’t have the law crack down hard on them because that’s racist.
J Kb is 100% correct. Cannot actually admit the followers of the religion of peace are not the fine upstanding citizens the government makes them out to be.
I am actually surprised the courts found him guilty, and sentenced him to anything other than time served.

You seem surprised about this.
Crimes against citizens increase the state’s power…they increase fear among the populace, fearful people are willing to turn power over to the state on the promise of increased security. So fearful people increase state power. Letting off lightly the criminals who commit crimes against the people is helpful to the state.
However the state cannot tolerate people who commit crimes against it. Unpunished (or lightly punished) crimes against the state would only serve to undermine the state and encourage more crimes against it. Crimes against the state must be punished unmercifully.
This makes complete sense to me.
