“Police Squad” was more successful than Firefly — it had fewer episodes yet spawned three movies.
Couple more – Dark Matter and Killjoys.

I liked Dark Matter better, but it ended sooner – I think the writers wrote themselves into a box.

And then there’s Andromeda – it should have ended after 2-3 seasons but went on for five.
