I think the late model Elco Thunderbolt in the first pic with 4x20mm and 2x.50 is nicely balanced, but the classic Maxson M45 quad .50 caliber mount has the convenience of a trailer mount, or M16 half track mount
I like the first photo with 4 Oerlikon guns.
Of course, when Akira is doing his dead level best to smack his Oscar into your ship off Okanawa, you want all the firepower you can get.
