Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

We aint all wierd sir.
For me, they work. Pointing, Sight Alignment and Pressin. But so does a 1911 or just about any handgun. Its all about the Fundementals, imo. Anyway.
Why glock, damn things just run. Between myself and my son. Easily 100,000 rounds over the years threw out Carry Guns.
FACT-The damn things have NEVER Failed in anyway. Never.
They arent the best lookin, feel or trigger.
We manage?
Also, we ONLY buy used ones, I’m a cert’d Grock armorer so if they need something…
I KNOW and OWN this Platform. Never saw the point of blindfolding myself, talk about wierd but. I could, easily.
But the BIg ONE…
God Forbid, if either of us needs to use them in the real world. Remember USED only here.
I’m out only 350$ At worst, when Johnny or Janie LE Goes Shoppin in the Evidence Lock Up or the Court won’t return it cause it’s Blooded.
I Will Not pay more than that for a used glock. Period Full Stop. Annnnd….we got some Grocks in this house.
If I still carried concealed, I’d go with a Glock rather than a Colt 1911A1. A Glock is just an interchangeable “tool.” If a LEO tells you to drop it, you can drop it without feeling bad. Purely psychological on my part, but steel pistols just seem to have more “soul” than the plastic (or aluminum) guns do for me. OTOH, all one asks of the carry pistol is that it will reliable throw a piece of metal where you want it, when you want it to and every time.

The last 2 are the main sticking points for me. I can make them work, but for some reason they don’t feel like an extension of my hand when I do use them, and the trigger isn’t winning any awards . The blocky dimensions aren’t great for a carry gun, and at the same time if you lose one because you have to shoot some asshole, its not a major hit financially or sentimentally.
Remember the whole “cocks not Glocks” thing five or so years back?
“Glock People are Weird.”
You could have stopped right there…….
