I remember the allure of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.  Before the internet as we know it today, it was a staple magazine for teenage boys who were too young to buy Playboy.

The women were beautiful, the beaches were exotic, and the swimsuits were tiny.

Sports Illustrated knew who its audience was and gave them what they wanted.

That Sports Illustrated is dead.

It is now Woke.  They hate you and your toxic male sexuality.  They want to punish you.  So this is what they give us instead.

A fat chick:

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s first Asian curve model poses in teeny bikinis – and is praised for being ‘unapologetic for seeing herself as a powerful, beautiful, sensual woman’

A grandmother with a brand new set of titties:

SI Swimsuit’s oldest model Kathy Jacobs, 57, isn’t intimidated by younger gals

An emotionally damaged chick with a dick:

Leyna Bloom makes history as the first trans woman on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover: ‘This is when the world changed’

If you ask “where are the smokin hot supermodels?” That makes you a bigot for not appreciating how diverse the 2021 SI Swimsuit class is.

Fatties, old ladies, and dickgirls can be yours for the low, low price of $12.99.

I can’t imagine they will sell that many, but that’s not the point.  The point was to ruin your fun because they don’t approve of it.

  1. And tolerance or indifference isn’t enough … if we don’t loudly approve, we are bigots and *phobes.

But then, they’ll call us that anyway. o

    1. Correct. It is not enough to just let it be. You MUST celebrate it. Go out an buy a copy, no… two copies. One for “use” the other to save for when the first one gets worn out.

      Celebrate it DAMMIT! Celebrate!

Anything less means you are a bigot.

  2. Augmented or not, that’s a pretty good (in a traditional way) body on that 57 year old. Can’t get past the awful “how dare you look at me that way!” scowl on her face though. Progressive are such happy pleasant joyful people…

      1. The real problem with that photo is the expression on her face. Can’t be attractive if you scowl at the viewer. If she’d give the camera a big bright smile it would be a good photo.

        1. The models are supposed to have “dead lips” Let the bottom part of your face just sit there. Supposedly that makes the photos come out better.

That may work for those in their 20s, but get a bit closer to your sell by date, and it actually ruins the pic.

  3. I second Flubnut, Granny’s got a hot bod for our age (I’m the same age), even if she’s not all that attractive otherwise.

I would say the scowl may just be a function of all the facelifts pulling her skin too tight to actually be able to smile.

She could be a poster old lady (can’t really call her a “girl”) for the plastic surgery industry.

Leyna Bloom (or whatever his real name is) is just another entry in the never-ending saga of “men can do everything better than women…including being a woman”. Although I must call into question his historical literacy. I doubt that human ancestors of “millions of years” ago were overly fraught with concerns over gender perception, nor had the medical resources to do anything about it if they were.

    1. Then again, look up the term “Berdache” (now apparently non-PC). I had never heard of it until I came across it as the title of one of the short stories making up “The boat of a million years” by SF author Poul Anderson. All good stuff (the long story, novel-length, that concludes the collection less so than all the others, but still worth reading).

  4. I don’t have any hard data on it (and can’t be arsed to look it up), but I have a sneaking suspicion that Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition sales have probably been on a downward trend for several years now. Hence the decision to embrace the kookiness of the hard Left.

If you can’t get a large general audience, you make a play for a smaller, but very dedicated, ideological audience. Cf. broadcast networks, professional sports, traditional publishing houses…

    1. “If you can’t get a large general audience, you make a play for a smaller, but very dedicated, ideological audience. Cf. broadcast networks, professional sports, traditional publishing houses…”

Which never really works, as the radical ideologues never ever turn into the same kind of loyal, dedicated fans that spend lots of money on merch that they lost by going woke in the first place.

  5. I wonder if any of the Editors and Decision Makers at these magazines actually have any skin in the game? Do they have stock, or stock options? Performance Goals like increase subscriptions 10% each year? Increase Advertising pages by 5%? Because it seems like they do NOT have the best financial interests of their Publications first and foremost.

  6. I don’t get this ‘scowl’ expression, either. Some models smile (and holy shit, there’s some whose smile could make a dead man stand up). Others have what I call a ‘goddess expression’. It’s not a smile, but it’s slightly stern, as if acknowledging ‘Yes, I am beautiful, and I grant you the honor of gazing upon me, mortal’. Like something one of the Greek/Roman goddesses might use. Still not bad, although it may make you want to find something to sacrifice to them 😉

But yeah. There’s a theory that leftists hate beauty, because on the inside they are ugly and empty. So they seek to ruin it for everyone else as well.

Oh, and that first chick ain’t ‘curvy’. She’s fat. Period.

  7. Let’s also not fail to notice that the “Asian curve model,” Yumi Nu, is the only one of these three that doesn’t adhere to the standard athletically fit, conventional beautiful, ideal female figure that every other SI swimsuit model has had. The only difference is that one of them is significantly older than average and one of them is biologically male… They’re still both athletic hot chicks.

Also, Yumi Nu was born and raised in New Jersey… Her father is Dutch. Her mother is Japanese. But the pervasive progressive racism still applies the old “one drop rule” that they always did. So a fat white girl from the Jersey shore gets to strap on a teeny bikini and some eyeliner and become a fetishized “Asian curve model.”
