Victim of Violent Home Invasion Speaks; Credits Wife With Saving His Life

The bruises and swelling on Jeremy King’s face tells the story of a man on the receiving end of a brutal attack. But his actual account is far more harrowing than his injuries suggest.

“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” said King, outside his home on Old Welcome Road in Lithia. “I took a severe beating.”

King said he was inside his home Wednesday when two masked men armed with guns barged in around 9:00pm. He said he doesn’t know who they are, never met them and has no idea why he was targeted. Both men pointed guns at King while demanding money.

Nine at night isn’t terribly late, that’s still prime time for TV.  Most people think home invasion at night and think after midnight, but it can happen anytime.

“They came in heavily hooded and masked. As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter,” he said.

“I’m telling them, ‘I have nothing for you,’” King explained. “[A]nd they’re like, ‘Give me everything you got.’ It became real violent, real fast.”

This is why all those people who say “there is no need to defend yourself, just give the criminals what they want” are wrong.  That is just putting yourself at the mercy of people who have already threatened you with violence.  Clearly, these two home invaders had no mercy and were more than happy to beat a man for the change in his couch.

King said one of the men started pistol-whipping him while another kicked him repeatedly in the head. His wife, who is eight months pregnant, was in the back bedroom and peeked out to see what was going on.

King said one of the men shot at her.

Piece of shit scumbag.

She retreated, grabbed an AR-15 and returned fire.

Fuck yeah!!!

“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,” King said. “He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.”

Good.  Someone tries you kill you, you try and kill them right back.  Nothing says don’t shoot at a pregnant lady like spending the last seconds of your life contemplating the agony of having a 55 gr bullet shred your insides.

Deputies later found a man dead in a nearby ditch. The other gunman ran off after that fatal shot was fired.

“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” King said. “[My wife] evened the playing field and kept them from killing me. “

Investigators are still looking for the second gunman. ​

And in Florida, if your accomplice gets killed by a person defending themselves from your felonious acts, you are guilty of felony murder and they can put you to death for that.  Here is to hoping the DA throws the book at the guy who partnered with a piece of shit that took a potshot at a pregnant woman in front of her 11-year-old.

Just in case anyone was keeping count, here is another example of a law-abiding citizen using an AR-15 for self-defense and to save their life and the lives of loved ones from some masked human turd.

This was way more effective (and legal) than Senile Joe’s “two blasts” with a side-by-side, and Douche Nukem and Fake Mexican would have rendered this family defenseless.

Politicians and bureaucrats with their machinations of utopia would have killed this family because they have no idea how to stop crime – except perhaps to legalize it so it’s not considered a crime anymore, say making a home invasion and homicide an “economic equalizer by wealth redistribution and a 105 trimester post-birth abortion”  – but they do know how to make law-abiding people easy pickings for violent thugs.
