Many in my generation will remember him in Mork and Mindy, others will do so for his many movies but to me the perfect Williams was wearing a silly Hawaiian shirt on a stage in a smoky comedy club. No scripts, full blast, no net.

Irony is when a man who brought as much laughter to the world as Robin Williams dies of depression.
yeah when all the movement this last year happened in late night TV..I was kind of hoping ONE of the fucking networks would offer him a show. As you say no censors and just let him go full tilt boogie like he did in the clubs. Most of his best stuff/lines in film wasn’t weren’t in the script. Just totally off the cuff.
One of favorites for sure, and he will be missed!

Really funny people are generally funny BECAUSE they have had lifelong depression issues. It’s a defensive response.
