Homeboy Nyte Sytes have been upgraded.

You guys know I have no beef with somebody owning and using a Hi Point if that is all they can afford. But this crap? I bet the paint job and the sight are well worth a couple of new Glocks.

In case you are too young to remember, one of the most successful trolls ever created was the HoMeBoy Nyte Sytes. It was so well done that a congressional investigation was launched to bring down the evil company that was obviously targeting minorities with its products so they would kill themselves… shit you not

  1. Thankfully, the optic looks to be a cheap knockoff, and I’d bet the paint is Krylon’s finest rattle-can.

I’m nearly convinced this is a really committed troll.

  2. The one of BWS’s videos that always gave me a laugh was the 50-caliber pistol video. Back in the bad old days of the intarwebz!

    1. Believe it or not, the “Nuke .50” pistol shown in the photos was a functional Maadi-Griffin kit build.

After the owner of Maadi-Griffin, Bob Stewart, ran afoul of the BATF for selling 80% rifle kits, Birdman came up his own alternative: the “Jaded .50” rifle kit. “You better get JADED before you get RAIDED!”

Stweart was charged with selling firearms without a serial number. His defense was that since they were not finished firearms, the kits didn’t legally need a serial number. The BATF disagreed, and claimed in court that the kits could be completed in less than a hour with a Dremel tool. An agent testified to this fact by stating that he had cobbled together a kit to the point where he could chamber and fire a blank .50 BMG cartridge. By this criteria, even the ‘Jaded .50’ shown in the parody could be considered a functional firearm.

The quoted price of $28 appears to be inspired from a ‘study’ published by the Violence Policy Center (a off-shoot of Handgun Control Inc.) The study demonized .50 BMG rifles as being the choice of criminals and terrorists, and made some rather outrageous claims about the price and availability of .50 BMG rifles and ammunition.

  3. A friend of mine had one of those on his table at the last gun show. I almost bought it just for the fun value. It was a 9mm Hi-point. Painted gold with fake ivory grips, including the dollar sign.
