Saint Michael is recognized in history as leading the first Airborne incursion against a fixed position, kicking demonic asses and sending them to Hell. At least that is what I was informed by a serious Airborne instructor from Ft Bragg decades ago, so St Michael is the Patron Saint of the Airborne. He is also the Patron Saint of cops and firefighters.
And , of course, all of us who have Michael and its many variation as name, are celebrating our day. Go forth and enjoy!
That reminds me, what is the day of St. Gabriel of Possenti?
Mike is the patron saint of soldiers, so legs are included. They were the follow-on force.
All the way.
Part of my daily prayers includes one to St. Michael:
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
