“He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, said. “He could have let him know that he did have a gun on his property and he would use it in self-defense.”
Pipkins had a lengthy criminal record. He served time in prison and was convicted of theft, possession of a Controlled Substance and criminal trespassing.

I am sorry, but if after serving time in prison you still do not get that breaking into people’s homes is a no-no, no amount of warning is gonna help him see the light….. other than the muzzle flash.

They are all nice people if they are not breaking into your house. 🙁
:/
See, had it been me as the dead crim and my sister as that idiot, my sister would be sad, but would probably had said I was a bloody idiot.
“Warning: stay out of my house unless specifically invited.”
There. Glad I got that out of the way! So its no fault of mine if some future corpse decides not to educate himself and read this post.
I found it easily enough, I say others have no excuse for not educating themselves.
He had two warnings.
“Elderly man…”
That should be all the warning you need. Likewise to Jusuchin, if I was the dead intruder, my family would be sad at my death, probably shocked that I broke into someone’s house, but general consensus would be “That was stupid.”
It’s that sense of entitlement. And the whole ‘he was a good kid’ kind of deal. Kids nowadays don’t know failure, or are protected so much that any failure is seen as ‘mommy and/or daddy/mommy/consenting-adult-partner will praise me for being special’ rather than ‘mommy and daddy told me how I screwed up and how to not screw up again’.
Which can mean either a spanking, or teaching. But those two aren’t prevalent in many households anymore. There used to be the carrot and the stick kind of parenting. Praise when you can, beat when you can, but always motivate em to do better.
Now it’s just all carrots and pampering.
No shit, I see parents make threat after threat after threat, all empty threats. My parents gave us 1 warning, no counting to 3, no time outs, no compromising, they were the parents and I was the child and I got 1 warning and there was no bluffing, if they had to tell us twice they beat our ass. they didn’t hit us in the face, they didn’t hit us with bats, or with fists, or with hot irons. They put a belt across our ass and then they explained why and what for and WE LEARNED..
I’m more scared of the flip flop…or plastic tube hangars. They’re more whippy than belts.

As far as I’m concerned, any time someone is shot while breaking in it should be considered a suicide.
They have suicide by cop, so this would be suicide by home invasion, case closed.
suicide for people too cowardly to do it themselves. If suicide is the coward’s way, what’s that make this?
Naw. Gotta leave it as “homicide” so any of their partners can get felony murder.
“He could have used a warning,”
And Mr. Pipkins could have warned the homeowner in advance that he was going to be making an unannounced visit through the window…
“Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.”
I fucking love that, lmao
As I have said before, I have a chain link around my property, with a privacy fence inside that, behind which is my rottweillers behind which is me and many guns followed by my girlfriend and her guns. If you cross the first fence uninvited, you are considered a threat to the security to our children and will be met with the full force of all of it.
