Orangy had never allowed me to get close enough for a close up.
And then I took that last step which prompted the critter to become a torpedo and swim to the other side of the lake.

At least it is not the a komodo dragon they found up in Davie! I use to live in Cutler Bay and had one in my neighborhood.
I need to correct, it is not a komodo dragon, but a nile monitor. For some reason the brain got stuck on komodo dragon.
Ever see any gators in that lake?
