At the end of the day, the New York Daily News depends on advertising to survive, unless they happen to get a Mexican sugar daddy like the New York Times. And poor Less-Than-She-Slug Greg Kuntzman is trying to maintain his 15 seconds of Internet notoriety, so he needs to keep poking around like an annoying Facebook acquaintance by feasting on the bodies of the fallen Dallas PD.
So the solution is simple:
Most of the more scurrilous news outlets depend on clicks. It’s why you should use archive.is to link to things. The service “clicks” for you and saves a snapshot of the page. Then when you reference it in your writings, you use the archive.is link and not the NYDN link.
That way the data is presented for all to see and the clicks aren’t registered to NYDN.
I have never and will never click on a story from the New York Daily News. All the information I’ve learned of Miss Kuntzman has come from pro-gun websites. I admit I’ve read stories on other liberal websites in the past, but for the most part I apply the same to them. So MSNBC, CNN, Huffington Post, Salon, Vox, etc…..they get nothing. Story linked there? No.
