One thought it occurred to me a bit ago. The other annoying equipment issue I had was the GI sling adjustment every time we did the Standing Position drill. It takes a lot of time to adjust the sling in the loop and then having to undo everything to do set it back to a traditional configuration. I will buy another just to have it normal and exchange with the looped sling whenever the class requires it.
There are quick adjustable slings, but they are pricey because they are “tacticool”.
Then there are slings you do not need to adjust – the Ching Sling is one of the better known versions and was designed by someone who was annoyed with the GI sling 😀
