It has been raining straight for a week and I am simply not inspired today.
Enjoy this video. I am sure more than one enterprising soul will figure out how easy is to make your own mortar.
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Some years ago I read an article about a guy who did exactly that. In Alaska. As I recall, he took a length of well casing, welded a substantial plate to the back to close it, and loaded it with a substantial amount of black powder (an ounce??) plus a bowling ball. Set it off at the local shooting range, where it impressed the other members by sending the ball the better part of a mile.
The writer commented “unless you’re qualified at structural welding, do not try this at home”. He also made the interesting observation that black powder muzzle loaders are not subject to caliber limitations, so legally speaking he just had an oversized musket.
I just wanted to point out, that this was a7th grade science fair project.
Damn, I grew up in the wrong country 😀
If anyone is interested, i Have the plans for a bowling ball motor. I’ll send IT TO anyone that wants it. It’s made from a old oxygen bottle.
I didn’t do a bowing ball cannon but I did make rutabaga bazooka. Trim a rutabaga down to fit the 4′ barrel and ram it down the rifled PVC barrel, Open the breach and give it a shot of starting fluid and quickly close the breach. Take aim and press the piezoelectric button. Boom, there goes a rutabaga about 300 yards.
