J. Kb posted about his comment about Americans buying spree of guns.
You ready Piers? Between March, April and June of 2020, we sold enough guns to give one to each of the soldiers of the top 10 armies in the world (7,224,000) and still have about one million guns left as spares.
Depressed yet? No? Let’s try this. The National Sport Shooting Foundation estimates that 2.5 million people became first time Gun Owners during that period. But for the sake of argument, let’s say they are overly optimistic and cut down their estimation in half so it comes to 1.25 million.
The Indian Army, the second with the most soldiers in the world,. claims 1.2 million serving. China is number one with 1.6 million. New Gun Owners in the US just knocked down India to third place in numbers.
Later, dude.
That’s 8.3 million more Votes for President Trump.
You’d like to think so, but unfortunately there still are gun owners who think voting D makes sense.
I don’t know if it’ll be quite that many, but I’m optimistic. It seems even many Democrats are becoming disgusted with how mayors and governors have been handling things.
Just a few thoughts. First, do you suppose the media will still keep using the laughably low “roughly 300 million guns are in the United States” figure? They’ve been stuck on that one for years, despite soaring gun sales. Also, I get that the Left’s goal is always going to be the abolition of the 2nd amendment, but do they honestly think Americans bought 8.3 million guns in the last 3 months, only to turn around and hand them in? I get that these people are malevolent nihilists who paradoxically think the world is all unicorns and rainbows, but there has to be some level of acknowledgement that their long term goal is physically impossible.
You think so? No, they think they will get the power to make it happen, over our dead bodies if necessary. See Matthew Bracken’s novels. I’m afraid the left will take those as how-to guides, just as they do with 1984.
Oh, when they take control, a sweeping AWB is coming. Eventually leading up to a full ban on private gun ownership, that’s no doubt the goal. But I maintain that it will be physically impossible to round up even a small fraction of the guns in this country.
Murica! Striving to be the BEST!
“I’m doing MY part!”
If it upsets the British prick, Piers Morgan, it must be good.
Would someone kindly remind him that the American Revolution was kicked off when the British tried to seize the ball and powder of the colonists. That we then kicked their Redcoat asses, twice. That we later sent private firearms to them in the Second World War because they had foolishly disarmed their subjects.
Now they are totally disarmed, are afraid of kitchen knives, and arrest people for Facebook posts. Screw the UK.
