Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Why was the wheelchair-bound guy there in the first place? I’m betting attempted suicide. It’s more common with trains than most people realize. It will be interesting to follow up on this and see if the guy finds some other way to off himself in the next few days/weeks.

      1. I did notice that. But normally he’d be rolling across the slot at close to a right angle, and would know better than to turn parallel to the track. Would rolling across a track slot at an acute angle cause the wheel to slip into the slot? Could it exert enough force to move the whole wheelchair sideways and parallel to the tracks? I doubt it. But I hope I’m wrong, and this guy was just unlucky, then lucky. That’s why I said a follow-up would be interesting.
(And we’ll see if he sues the police department because he lost his wheelchair. It is California, after all.)
