Ukraine:
New @AP reporting tonight: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was asked to evacuate Kyiv at the behest of the U.S. government but turned down the offer. An American official tells me Zelenskyy said, “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.” pic.twitter.com/oSpa1vdX29

“How long do you think you can hold out?”
“Forever.”

Ukraine is being invaded.
We are on the verge of major war in Europe.
The Ukrainian President and former President are defending the capital city with AKs.
Our President is taking the weekend off.
I wonder what America would be like if we had leaders that were as resolute in defending our country as Ukraine’s are.
Think back twenty four months, a few short years ago.
Except they hated his mean tweets! And the fact that he was exposing the Grafts and Grifts of the Washington DC Uniparty.
Joe Biden offered an evacuation.
President Zelensky isn’t just resolute. He also has far more tact and grace than most leaders.
When offered, he said, no, thanks. “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.” Which isn’t what I would have said.
I would have said, “After your ‘hugely successful’ ‘evacuation’ in Afghanistan, no. And not just no. F@#& no.”
Every President comes under fire for “taking the weekend off”
Reagan went to his ranch in California
W spent time at his ranch in Texas
Obama travelled to Hawaii and Martha’s Vineyard
Trump played golf at his resort in Florida
Every one of them caught flack for it. I think it is a poor argument, no matter who makes it. The President is never out of contact. I don’t criticize any President for choosing to do the job wherever he happens to be.
