Well, 2023 is just around the corner and this graphic just hit my feed:
We have seen all this year what no-cash bail has done to NY and California, and now it’s coming to Illinois and includes no-cash bail for robbery, kidnapping, and murder.
Just the other day I wrote a post about a kidnapper let out early in Memphis who kidnapped and murdered a woman.
Illinois won’t even detain kidnappers.
That state just legalized violent crime.
Arm yourself before it’s too late.
Wanna bet some Soros prosecutor starts charging rape as kidnapping, so the accused doesn’t have to spend time in jail?
This falls under the “Don’t give them ideas!” category. And, yeah, this wouldn’t be a stretch for that crowd.
[Puts on Progressive hat.] Well, as long as Illinois has abortion on demand, rape isn’t that much of a crime, is it?
… You just know we’ll be hearing arguments rooted in that idea soon enough.
It’s the same argument that CA used to effectively decriminalize intentionally giving people AIDS. Since there’s medication for it, it’s not all that serious anymore.
I’m curious how “threatening a public official” made it on the “get out of jail free” list. I thought that in Fascist/Marxist state “threatening a public official” would be the most severe crime imaginable. After all isn’t that what the Jan. 6th “insurrectionists” did.
