Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.
Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

I remember reading a poem in a book written by a former member of the Canadian Airborne Regiment. It sort of jumped to mind when I saw the above picture elsewhere on the ‘net….
“If I no more should waken on this Earth,
To greet the daily miracle of dawn
I shall have known much of deepest worth,
Then do not weep for me when I am gone.
High service has been mine, and prayers, and dreaming,
Of that new world which sacrifice should bring;
Oh, I have soared to heights where stars are gleaming,
And raced translucent clouds on silvered wing.
I shall have conquered Earth’s confining sod,
And willingly gone forth to walk with God.”
That’s it.
One thing: I am typing this out from memory, because I am unable to find the book itself – so if any of the words are incorrect, I respectfully ask for the benefit of the doubt.
One other thing: when you next go to the local watering hole, please raise a glass to Corporal Cirillo, and let the Lord know that we are sending a good man back to him.
Thank you.
