I am going to hell, but I laughed.
And before the Hi Point squads shows up with the hate, a Hi Point beats harsh language and bad breath for Self Defense, OK?
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Hi-points have their place. As a door stop. Even though they have a lifetime warranty, I wouldn’t carry one and bet my life on it. That’s why I bought a Sig.
I’ve advised customers to use their Hi-Points for shooting at the range but to find something a little more reliable to carry, like a Taurus.
Wouldn’t he be killed “with” a Hi-Point and not “by” a Hi-Point? I thought we all agreed it was the person who did the killing
haha that’s brilliantly funny. I’ll share that with some like mindeds who I know will laugh 🙂
That’s pretty funny, cause I know a lot of people who get hi-points for “barter guns” should TSHTF, and I have never seen one of them fail. They are crude ugly things, but they seem to go bang every time, and are not picky eaters. Both good qualities for TSHTF scenarios. No, the reason I would not carry one is because they weigh 10 pounds sans ammo, and that is for their compact version.
Taurus on the other hand does *not* go bang every time, and some of the bangs you do get can be best described as OOB. Those are not good qualities in any gun, TSHTF or otherwise.
As always, buy what you can afford now, then trade up if you can. Any gun is better than no gun if you find yourself in need.
I think for what I can see the hi-point is put down by the ones that can afford other more expensive guns.I have not heard of many complaints from the ones that can only afford a hi-point except for the weight.Just my two cents.
I have a Hi-Point 995. I can bullseye a soda can at 100 yards with it.
Yeah…not many people have seen them fail…but then again most people haven’t seen a hi-point get any real hard use or see any use under less-than-optimal conditions anyway.
I’ve got a buddy that does pistol training and has never once had a student take a class of his with a hi-point and NOT had that hi-point fail at some point. Literally a perfect 0% record.
