From the Lonestar State, we have an overzealous amount of bill introduction dealing with usurping law-abiding citizens their rights.  Representative Sheila Jackson Lee [D-TX18] takes the cake with her impressive offerings.

Let’s take a look at what the good Congresswoman intends for us:

H.R. 130: To require the safe storage of firearms and ammunition, and to require the investigation of reports of improper storage of firearms or ammunition.
H.R. 135: To require the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to report to the Congress semiannually on the number of firearms transfers resulting from the failure to complete a background check within 3 business days, and the procedures followed after it is discovered that a firearm transfer has been made to a transferee who is ineligible to receive a firearm.
H.R. 121: To provide for the hiring of 200 additional Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents and investigators to enforce gun laws.
H.R. 127: To provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.
H.R. 125: To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide for a 7-day waiting period before a semiautomatic firearm, a silencer, armor piercing ammunition, or a large capacity ammunition magazine may be transferred.

I believe that in the coming months, a private wardrobe, travel by private jet and a mansion would have sounded like a good deal, rather than the Dollar Store lobbying with Greyhound bus transportation the purebloods demanded while living the good years.

    1. Yes, but a 7 day waiting period for pretty much every handgun currently made? Yikes.
Not to mention federal registration, the obvious final step before confiscation.

  1. So for HR130, if a disgruntled ex says “he has a gun in his sock drawer” the Feds send some Jackboots to give you an anal probing?

    1. Pretty much. They’re also wanting to set up ERPOs as federal law.

Why does Texas keep sending this moron back to Congress?

  2. I wondered why I was suddenly seeing billboards all over town from astroturf organizations about ‘locking up my guns’ and ‘being a responsible gun owner’ and ‘keeping my family safe’. All good sentiments. All just the first step to REQUIRING that they be locked up.

Side note- why do you still have the spy/tracking social media ‘share this’ links? It’s way past time to starve those particular beasts….

added- “Why does Texas keep sending this moron back to Congress?” Um, for every one of the D’s that people ask that question about, going back decades, maybe the answer is “fraud” given what we’ve seen so far this time around? And TPTB don’t really want smart/honest/committed people in Congress, so they rarely got a shot at it, or want to involve themselves in it.

  3. And an anonymous source told the feds that a nationwide armed protest is planned for this weekend.

Remember the words of Admiral Akbar people.
