Best implores city council to ‘stand up for what is right’ after protesters visit her home

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best implored Seattle City Councilmembers Sunday to “stand up for what is right” after a group of protesters targeted her home late Saturday night.

In a letter to the council that she also published on the department’s crime blog, Best said her home in Snohomish County was visited “by a large group of aggressive protestors” and that while her neighbors were concerned, “they were successful in ensuring the crowd was not able to trespass or engage in other illegal behavior in the area, despite repeated attempts to do so.”

Miguel covered that a couple of days ago.

Best said the actions again elected officials — and especially civil servants as herself, “are out of line with and go against every democratic principle that guides our nation. Before this devolves into the new way of doing business by mob rule here in Seattle, and across the nation, elected officials like you must forcefully call for the end of these tactics.”

It’s was all peaceful protesting until the protesters found out where the Chief of Police lived and then went to pay her a visit to her house.

Now it is time to crack down on the mob.

She fed the crocodile and it eventually came for her.  Unfortunately for Best, the mob has yet to go after every member of the City Council personally, so they are happy to continue their shitty policy of burning blind eyes and appeasement of the mob.

By this time, I suspect that the mob will never be fully quelled.  I suspect that in Seattle, Portland, and a few other cities, the following years (maybe even decade) will be like Belfast, Bagdhad, and other cities where Sectarian domestic terrorism was just a part of life, and every once in awhile a bombing, mass shooting, or other terrorist attacks would occur.  These cities will not return to “normal” for years if ever.

This is why you can’t give rioters any leniency, they will always come for you in the end.

Spread the love

  1. I don’t think Chief Best wanted to feed the crocodiles. She has been pretty outspoken on dealing with Chop/Chaz. Reoccupying the abandoned precinct was one of her priorities. This outspokenness has been a thorn of the TPTB and antifa. The chief, being a black female, has probably shielded her from too much opprobrium from the city council and this sticks in the craw of Antifa. Hence the early evening visit by a recon squad. Antifa forgot that the rules of engagement are different in the suburbs

  2. The mob is convinced they are right. They are convinced their grievances are valid. They are so convinced of their moral and civil correctness in this matter that if you are not actively “for” them you are against them.

Silence IS violence to the mob.

And, this will continue as long as elected officials voice their support. It will continue as long as businesses, and organizations both large and small make public statements about how they are on the side of the mob.

It will continue until some brave souls actually stand up and say enough! Not just one guy in a truck, every guy in a truck. Not just a small pizza joint, every small pizza joint. And, the logical/rational thinking people out there need to stop patronizing businesses who spout platitudes to appease the mob. If a major corporation wants to print “Let’s have a conversation about race.” on their coffee cups, go somewhere else, there is lots of coffee out there. If a department store wants to push diversity over quality, there are lots of other places to buy your stuff.

And, every time you make a purchase from the businesses that are not bowing down to the mob, let them know it. Let their patrons know it. Let them know why you are not patronizing them any more.

Not an organized boycott, those are almost as bad as appeasing the mob. A personal choice to cut off your personal contribution to the insanity.
