Police said the victim was shot even though she gave the robber what he demanded.
“He shoots her deliberately and in broad daylight after she gives him her purse,” said Officer Kenia Reyes with the Miami Police Department.

According to other sources, the woman was shot in the mouth. Aiming for the head is a kill shot.
UPDATE: Critter caught by police. Kamiah Lanier was found guilty of several violent felony charges in March last year, given 5 years probation.

Well, I got my application for CCW turned in today (well yesterday, I really need to start sleeping at night… 21st was a bust, forgot it was MLK day), and apparently it’s taking 2-3 weeks until the background check is done.
A few days before Sandy Hook a lady at my dad’s church walked in with the paperwork and walked out with the card. Apparently FBI checks are being swamped.

Eh, my brother got a LC9 for Christmas from me/mom/dad and my dad ended up napping in the corner of the gun store until the owner could get into the NCIS check, at least I didn’t have to wait in the sheriff’s office for 2-3 weeks. It could be worse.
