I have been a fan of Janis since I was a young teen and of Kaleigh since I found out about her in 2011. I had made comments in Facebook about how much Kaleigh Baker reminded me of Janis Joplin, and apparently enough people thought the same she is about to do a little play at the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival.
You decide if I am wrong.

She’s definitely lots closer than anyone else I’ve heard in the last 45 years. Janis is still better, but you know they’ll never be another.
Still, with the music playing and your eyes closed, she’s pretty darned good.
I think she’s close as far as style, but Janis had a sort of whiskey roughness to her voice that was unique.
