Looters Rob Firefighter Battling California Wildfires: ‘It’s Sickening’
Looters reportedly stole from a firefighter over the weekend in Santa Cruz, California, as he helped battle fires raging in the area.
The Santa Cruz Fire Ground Commander had returned to his work vehicle and noticed his wallet was missing and then discovered his bank account was empty, according to KRON 4.
So that’s the extent that these people have gone. Again, this is why we have asked for people to evacuate. The sheriff’s department has done a fantastic job in trying to wrangle this. But again, this is what we have as a result. It’s saddening, it’s sickening, and we are doing everything we can do try to help the community and unfortunately, these happen.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that five suspected looters had been arrested for targeting homes of wildfire evacuees, according to Breitbart News.
California failed to control the looters and now the looters are going after the firefighters who are trying to stop the state from turning to ashes.
Is there any humanity left in California?
California has managed to drive away the middle class and police, now they are driving away the firefighters.
Just let it burn. If anything, the wildfires will be less destructive than the mob and the government that supports them.
So glad I no longer live there.
A pity really. It used to be beautiful. But then, among other things, the citizens realised they could vote themselves the keys to the treasury.
The wife keeps saying she wants to live there. It really is a beautiful state, lots of appeal, but the people screwed it so badly that I do not even want to change planes there if I can avoid it.
California failed to control the looters and now the looters are going after the firefighters who are trying to stop the state from turning to ashes.
And that’s after California not only failed to control their wilderness areas through under-brush clearing and controlled burns, they outlawed private citizens and businesses (such as the power company) from doing the same.
Then, when the high-voltage long-distance power lines (completely predictably) sparked fires — that very quickly became infernos in the dry underbrush — California blamed the power company for not illegally managing the wilderness and sued them for damages, leading to higher utility rates to cover the costs.
Normally, I’d put the blame square on the government for failing to act in the best interests of the citizens, but in this case I don’t have much sympathy for the citizens — excepting the northern and inland counties, who are mostly reasonable people — because they keep electing the whackos who keep putting them through all this.
