A man registered Democrat, of mixed race, community organizer, proven record of fighting against injustice and racism, campaigned and voted for President Obama was found not-guilty of Murder by a jury of his peers. Rev. Al Sharpton organized for today protests in one hundred cities against the verdict and the Stand Your Ground Laws that had nothing to do with the case. If the protests get out of hand (always a possibility) and lead to attacks on innocent people, some of them may have to defend themselves under the protection of Stand Your Ground Law.

@Ish: The recent statement by the POTUS that if the races of GZ and TM had been reversed then the verdict might have been guilty, is slandering all 6 female jurors as racists!
His ramblings are just an oblique way of saying that it was a racially motivated killing, which it was not. The FBI investigation turned up zilch for a racial motivation.
The verdict is an affirmation that TM was a deadly threat to GZ and that self-defense was justified.
Race had nothing to do with the verdict and Stand Your Ground had nothing to do with the case. Simple self-defense. Nothing more. People need to stop seeing racism in everything. Gun control freaks need to crawl back under their rock and leave real Americans alone to enjoy our freedoms.
