Next he should do an analysis of rates of criminal behavior between NRA/vetrans and “door kickers.” I bet the NRA members have fewer crimes *total* than the law enforcement the Left want to give exclusive gun ownership rights to.
I don’t know about crime rates among NRA members generally. But I know there are well founded studies of crime rates among CC permit holders, which are microscopic — way lower than the general population and substantially lower than the rate for policemen.
I call BULLSHIT on “unregistered machine guns”. Where did 1.5mil figure come from? If they “unregistered” how do they get counted? Last I knew atf records show 750, 000 REGISTERED machine guns in the us. Cost of illeagal machine guns is far too high to brag about owning 1.
One thing the Statist gun grabbers continually fail to appreciate is that it isn’t just the NRA members who are gun owners. I know a number of people who are not NRA members, not because they object to the meme that the “NRA wants everyone to have an AR” but because they consider the NRA too soft on gun rights. These folks tend to fall into the category that Robert Heinlein called “Closed Mouth Anarchists” or Carl Bussjager calls HANSOBs (Heavily Armed Noncompliant SOBs). See Carl’s post here:

If they ban those semi-auto rifles it’s also likely that a not insignificant portion of them will be unregistered machine guns when the door kickers arrive.
And why do they always assume the gun owners are going to cower in their homes until the doors are kicked?
I remember reading that the survival rate of an aircrewman flying 25 missions over Germany during WWII was 24%. That is, less than 1 in 4 aircrewmen completed a single tour of duty unharmed. The rest were either killed or wounded and were unable to return to duty.
I wonder if the door to door raiding of gun owners will have a higher or lower survivablilty rate than bombing the Third Reich?
