Light blogging.

Between family stuff, being the end of the year with shit still to be done and having a general piss poor attitude during the Holidays (Yes, I am one of those), you will see less of my very profound and insightful posts…and you can stop laughing now.

In the meantime, please enjoy an example of layers and layers of editorial oversight:

  1. What does that mean? Forget it, I don’t want to know.
But it reminds me of a story I heard on the radio in Chicago many years ago. I hope it’s true:
In the Philippines, kidnapping for ransom is a cottage industry. The victims are usually the children of rich families who pay the ransom and don’t tell anyone. In this case, the victim, a grown daughter, decided to tell the story of her kidnapping. The headline in the paper read, “Heiress Bares Snatch.”
I don’t think the Filipino editor knew much about American slang.
